I create the space for you to hear your own voice and to feel your own heart...

Hey sweet soul,

Life moves kinda quickly sometimes, doesn't it?

Quick can be fun,

and, it can become overstimulating, exhausting, suffocating...

We might totally lose ourselves in it.

What if we could slow things down for just a little while?

Like really, slow down the whole body and mind,

to give ourselves a little bit more space to breathe,

to feel,

to listen,

and to care....

From this deeper place we might find more clarity, direction,

the space to breathe and feel,

We might discover sorrow or joy,

And as we keep going., we may even discover a growing capacity in being with it all...

Join me,

Let's slow down by first arriving.

You might just discover more of you.

Learn a variety of practices for self-care and embodying more of you.

What to expect

Come along for a guided somatic journey of movement, meditation, and heart...

Attuning Movement ~ Ground in the space; connect to your body in the moment; shake, wiggle, or dance to allow for a deeper settling

Guided Meditation ~ land more deeply in your body & heart; practice noticing the mind and feeling into the s p a c e this creates; listen

Music meditation ~ allow yourself to receive and feel from a relaxed and regulated place

A journaling prompt / space for reflection ~ draw or write from an embodied place; gain insight for your most connected week ahead

Group sharing & listening ~ practice listening and sharing from presence and truth; experience the gift of being truly seen

And I mean this wholeheartedly: come and be exactly as you are without any expectations. It is in this arriving where we find nourishment, not in showing up in any particular state.

From your Guide

Hi, I'm Jen, a Philly native, mindfulness meditation teacher, wellbeing guide, and embodied fitness coach. I have been formally studying Mindfulness Meditation for 2+ years, and informally in my own experience for 6+ years.

Mindfulness Meditation is about arriving more fully in the present moment and deepening our capacity to be with what's already here. All the joy and sorrow and every magically mundane moment in between. It is not about achieving some far-off state but waking up into our human lives, exactly as they are.

My specific style of guided meditation is heart-centered and grounded in the body. We are so often prioritizing our intellect in the everyday human sphere, so meditation is a moment to pause and simply reconnect to these other innate centers of intelligence: our body and our heart.

As we integrate more heart and body into our lives, we are operating from more of our wholeness, and human life begins to feel more balanced, at ease, sensual, and alive.

Come join me for a Sunday Slowdown, or two. If you have any questions at all, please reach out. I look forward to seeing where this Summer series of self-care takes us.

xoxo,

Jen

Attendance

You may sign up for a single drop-in or for the entire 5-session series. I recommend coming more than not if you feel connected here. You will gain more depth of experience through consistent practice and cultivation of this particular shared space.

What to bring?

We will provide several options for a cozy practice including blankets, yoga mats, and bolsters. Don't worry, there is not a strict rule on how you meditate or move in this class. Come and be as you are. And wear comfy clothes!

Bring your journal or pad for writing/drawing. There will be space to write and reflect with guided prompts.

Water is available; bring your own water bottle to save on disposable cups.

Where is the meditation held?

We are meeting at 1233 Locust St., Philadelphia in a cozy yoga studio called Modern Mystic.  If no one is at the red doors to greet you when you arrive, please text/call me, and I will come let you in. > 267-616-4548
