Align with the rhythms of the season...

Pink Blossom

After the slowing down of Winter, Spring comes with a thrust of energy, yet it has its own way of asking us to slow down, to pause, to savor the moment. To not miss the absolute magic that is a budding flower after a dormant winter. To pause and feel the warmth of the sun on this once hibernating body.

Life gives us endless opportunities to wake up and engage more fully. To awaken to the natural world around us and to our divine place within it all. Some promptings are loud, some harsh, some ecstatic.

But spring, it is oh so gentle. It is kind, it is playful. It is happening in slow motion, yet, it seems to happen all at once.

Will you pause and let spring dance upon your senses?

What does it feel like to gaze upon a flower as it unfurls its sweet face to the world in just a moment?

Will you notice the way your own body and spirit have something to say?

What wants to reveal itself in you?

From your Guide

Hi, I'm Jen, a Philly native, mindfulness meditation teacher, and holistic fitness coach. I have been formally studying Mindfulness Meditation for 2 years, and informally in my own experience for 6+ years.

Mindfulness Meditation is about arriving more fully in the present moment and deepening our capacity to be with what's already here. All the joy and sorrow and every magically mundane moment in between. It is not about achieving some far-off state but waking up into our human lives, exactly as they are.

My specific style of guided meditation is heart-centered and grounded in the body. We are so often prioritizing our intellect in the everyday human sphere, so meditation is a moment to pause and simply reconnect to these other innate centers of intelligence: our body and our heart.

As we integrate more heart and body into our lives, we are operating from more of our wholeness, and human life begins to feel more balanced, at ease, alive.

Come join me for a meditation or two. If you have any questions at all, please reach out. I look forward to seeing where this Spring Semester of meditation takes us.

xoxo,

Jen

Additional Info

What will each session include?

We will begin with about 10-15 minutes of settling into the space and connecting with each other to create a sense of comfort and safety. From there we will drop into a 20-3o minute guided meditation, followed by a period of live song for a soulful rest. We will conclude each session with some space for sharing, to give voice to anything that wants to be heard and ask questions about your weekly practice.

Who is this for?

This series is great for Beginner and Intermediate meditators. I will provide simple guidance and cues along the way to help us steady the mind and deepen into our meditation.

This is a queer and BIPOC-celebrating space. If you have any accessibility needs, please reach out so I can make sure that you are comfortable in the space and mediations.

Attendance

You may sign up for all 10 weeks or drop-in with us when you're able. I highly recommend coming more than not if you feel connected here. You will gain more depth of experience through consistent practice and cultivation of this particular shared space.

What to bring?

If you have a meditation cushion that you prefer to use, please bring! This isn't mandatory as we will provide several options including blankets, yoga mats, and bolsters. Don't worry, there is not a strict rule on how you sit in this class. Come and be as you are. And wear comfy clothes!

You may also bring a journal or pad for writing/drawing. There will be optional space to write and reflect towards the end of the meditation.

Where is the meditation held?

We are meeting at 1233 Locust St., Philadelphia in a cozy yoga studio called Modern Mystic. You will arrive at the red doors, which are locked after hours, so please text/call me when you arrive and I will come let you in. >>> 267-616-4548 <<<
